Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, and I accepted – Tue, 13 May 2014

Interviewed Mar 2014 in Brooklyn, NY(took 1 week)
I applied online and they contacted me by email the day after. You have to show up 15 minutes early to fill out paper work, the usual background check and availability sheet, references and etc. Just pay keen attention to it and fill out everything. The interview questions are pretty basic, "Tell me about yourself", "Where do you see yourself in 10 years", then from there it flows into a conversation to basically determine your personality. Management is friendly and professional, so no worries, just smile. I studied the history and founding of kohl's, wasn't needed.

Interview Questions
Nothing really, the questions were pretty basic, i assume it varies by your experience. It was my first retail job, they don't mind training whom ever seems fit. So bring your personality.

Applied via snagajob and was contacted about 2 days later for a group interview. I prepared for the group interview by reading all of these reviews and found it to be quite helpful. After the group interview, I filled out paperwork and met with the store manager a few days later for a 2nd interview. I haven't heard the outcome yet, but it seemed like they were pretty desperate for help.

Very Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Thu, 5 Jun 2014

Interviewed null -1 in Milpitas, CA(took 5 months)
Got contacted by the recruiter and took super long to get in touch to schedule a phone screen. Took about 3 months to get something on the calendar. The recruiter is super slow and doesn't communicate well. I had a chat with the hiring manager and was scheduled for an in person. I was told I was to chat with a few folks on the phone, but that was never scheduled. I finally came in for an in person with three people. Turned out one person was out with a doctor appointment, so only met a senior product manager and the hiring manager. The hiring manager sounded super excited and wanted to have me start if hired. He even offered to let me ask questions after the interview if I had questions. The recruiter kept being unresponsive and saying how the hiring manager is still interviewing and I would get a response back. It's been three and half weeks and nothing. I've emailed and called, but no response. Very unprofessional and provide fake updates. I find that the company is really struggling, but yet not willing to hire good talent. I just saw the job being posted again two days ago. Their UX team is quite weak and their product managers are not very skilled. The diversity in the office is terribly weak. Hiring manager said they plan to grow headcount to 250 by the end of the year. I highly doubt that. I feel that everyone are like robots there and they do not think nor care about customers and UX.

Interview Questions
Nothing really, it was super informal. Provide a sample of UX and asked for recommendation.

Difficult Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – No – Fri, 6 Jun 2014

Interviewed Jun 2014 in Goshen, IN(took 3 weeks)
I applied on snagajob and about two or three weeks later I got a call for an interview. It was a group interview and it was kind of intimidating. Some of the questions were hard to answer on the spot and you dont get much time to think. I just had the interview today so i dont know if they're going to call me back for orientation. Just go prepared and you'll do fine, i wasn't prepared for the questions they asked so it was hard for me.

Interview Questions
When was a time you had plans and you had to unexpectedly change your priorities? How did you handle it?
