Easy Interview – Overall Positive Experience – Yes, but I declined – Mon, 28 Mar 2016
Interviewed Mar 2015 in Milwaukee, WI(took 21 days)
First round on campus university interview. Second round at Kohl's.
Mostly behavioral for both. First one was with one interviewer on campus. Wanted to know about my education and work experiences related to data analysis, working with others, and leadership. Quick case study at the end. Felt great coming out of it.
Second round was at HQ. All day event and interview with three interviewers separately. Mostly behavioral with some questions directly related to merchandise and Kohl's. Some repeat questions; don't let this throw you be consistent. There's also a group interview portion. Your small group is asked to solve a case study. Just be yourself and if you are a good leader who listens to others and adds your two cents when relevant then you're good to go! Harder to tell where you stand after the second round (especially after the group interview) but they get back to you pretty quick with an offer decision, which is nice.
*Although Kohl's is a great company to work for and I consider myself very fortunate to have been offered the position, I received an offer for a role at a different company that seemed like a better fit for me, so I chose not to accept Kohl's offer
