It was a group interview. Before the group interview. He asked us to write on a paper our availability for two weeks. He explained after the group interview , that with 24-48 hours he would speak to ( I guess its to his manager or someone else) and email us to let us know their decision which would either be information about 3 day paid training or that they decided to pass over you.
He asked to answer the same question, but then would ask additional question specific to each person.
He asked if we had any questions and he answered questions.
I received a decision hours literally like maybe and hour and half after the interview that I was not chosen.
I was shocked since Someone asked in the group how many people do they hire for seasonal ? He said like 50-60 and could go up to 100, so I figured it would not be hard to get hired as long as my availability is not to narrow.
I'm not exactly sure why I wasn't picked. I did ask about if I wanted to change availability being hired as seasonal- not sure if maybe that was a red flag to him. He did say that they would mostly have evening hours. I’m not sure if its because I didn’t answer the interview question right. Or maybe because I’m overqualified, but then he said that there are seasonal employees who have daytime jobs but work at night. I have retail experience but not in clothing specifically.
