Easy Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – Yes, but I declined – Tue, 3 Jul 2018
Interviewed May 2,018 in Lynnwood, WA
An employee said that they needed a helper, and I said I was willing. They took me to another employee for a walk-in interview. I honestly did not even know what position I was being interviewed for at the time.
On the table was a guide on how to do a walk-in interview so that was a bit interesting. She just read through a packet of questions and wrote down the answers as we went along. In total it was probably about 15 minutes. Right after questions she told me the pay (10 cents more than minimum wage per hour) without me asking, was going to put their recommendation in for me, and I just had to fill out the online application for the job.
I went home and did the online application that night. I got locked out of my account for a little bit but was still able to do it. They were basic questions in the beginning on personality and whatnot, but transitioned into situations at the end. They concerned very specific store policy issues which was a bit of a trap, but were still answerable. The questions really reinforced how important selling the credit cards were.
A few days later a received an email with the job offer. I needed to consent to a drug test, and give them 7 years of my living history. Honestly if it did not need all those addresses I may have submitted the form right there. However, I took some time to think and decided that they pay, the constant nagging of the credit cards, and the little career advancement were too off-putting. I appreciated the offer but never filled out any of the forms and let the job offer be rescinded. Overall both employees were very nice and understanding.
